About Luke Bryan

Luke Bryan started out like most country boys. Born and raised in Leesburg, GA, Bryan's parents bought him his first guitar when he was 14 years old. Bryan cut his teeth as a young country singer playing local clubs before taking the plunge into the big pond of Nashville. It wasn't until after he graduated from Georgia Southern University that Luke Bryan devoted himself to his music.

While earning his degree at Georgia Southern University, Luke Bryan continued writing music and playing small gigs on and around campus, and even recorded and sold his own album at his shows. Once he graduated and returned home, his father pushed him to pursue music and encouraged the move to Nashville. After Luke Bryan relocated to Nashville, he started out by performing at local clubs, and on one occasion, played some of his own material and caught the eye of a label rep from Capitol Records. Luke Bryan was offered his first recording contract and released his first album, I'll Stay Me, by 2007.

By the time his second album was released in 2009, it gave way to the No. 1 singles, "Rain Is a Good Thing" and "Someone Else Calling You Baby," and the album itself, Doin' My Thing, hit No. 2 on the Country charts. In 2011, Luke Bryan went on to release another album, Tailgates and Tanlines, which contained tracks "I Don't Want This Night to End" and "Drunk on You" that landed at No. 1 and "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye" at No. 3. Luke Bryan continued writing and touring, and compiled a party-themed album, Spring Break... Here to Party, which he released in 2013 before releasing his fourth studio album, Crash My Party, later that same year. The new release included its hit title track that landed at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Songs chart, as well as other hit songs like "That's My Kind of Night," "Drink a Beer," and "Play It Again" that Luke Bryan continues to tour behind. His 2015 album Kill the Lights followed suit with a mix of sentimental songs and party anthems.
